Salary bracket

£21,000 per annum for 21 hours per week. Starting on a 3 month contract

We are looking for a Business Support Officer to lead the day-to-day administration and coordination of our core systems, processes and compliance functions. You will help ensure our finance, governance, monitoring and evaluation, HR administration, data management and reporting are accurate, organised and efficient.

This is a key role. By keeping the charity's operational foundations strong, you will give the CEO and delivery team more capacity to focus on strategic development, fundraising, partnerships and programme delivery, while helping us meet our obligations to funders, trustees, partners and regulators.

Street Football Wales is a social inclusion charity using football to create positive social change across Wales. Through free, inclusive street football sessions, we support people affected by homelessness, mental ill health, addiction, social isolation and other forms of disadvantage.

A day in the life of a Business Support Officer will involve

  • Maintaining key organisational systems, including UpShot, BreatheHR, QuickBooks and SharePoint.

  • Keeping organisational records, calendars, reporting schedules and key deadlines accurate and up to date.

  • Leading on programme data management and supporting colleagues to record attendance, outcomes and participant information accurately.

  • Supporting financial administration, including invoices, payroll information, budget monitoring and financial information for funders and trustees.

  • Coordinating Board and committee meetings, including agendas, papers, governance records and trustee documentation.

  • Acting as the organisation's Data Protection Lead and supporting GDPR-compliant processes, safeguarding administration and secure record management.

  • Supporting funding applications, grant monitoring and reporting, and maintaining evidence of project outcomes and organisational impact.

  • Improving systems and processes, including using appropriate digital and AI tools to reduce administrative burden and organisational risk.

To be a successful Business Support Officer, you will need;

  • Experience of using databases, CRM systems or other digital platforms.

  • Experience of coordinating systems, processes or projects.

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Confidence handling confidential information and following clear financial and compliance processes.

  • Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.

  • The ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, solve problems and use initiative.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A clear commitment to equality, inclusion, social justice and the mission of Street Football Wales.

In return for your time and commitment, you will get;

  • A salary of £21,000 per annum for a 21-hour working week.

  • 25 days annual leave, plus public holidays

  • A part-time role with direct influence on the systems and processes that support the charity's impact.

  • The opportunity to contribute to an inclusive organisation using football to create positive social change across Wales.

  • The chance to work across finance, governance, data, compliance, funding and organisational development in a varied role.
